Annapolis Swimming Pool Removal

Annapolis Swimming Pool Removal

This newly-owned home is located in the city of Annapolis, Maryland. The family contacted Carroll Bros. Contracting because they were looking to remove their dilapidated swimming pool. The concrete pool was built in 1962 and was certainly not in any shape to accommodate swimming. The new owners of the house did not want the pool because they have young children and it did not fit their lifestyle. Because the pool was not in use, they figured that now was the time to remove the pool entirely and add a significant amount of usable space to their backyard. The results of this Annapolis swimming pool removal were day and night.

Annapolis Swimming Pool Removal Before

Initially, the backyard was overcrowded by an unused and unwanted pool. The homeowners were looking to increase their backyard space by removing the pool altogether.

The family contacted Carroll Bros. Contracting and we immediately began to formulate a plan for removal. Upon first glance, we noticed that the landscaping of the pool included brick pavers that would need to be removed. Then, we noticed that the brickwork surrounding the patio was old and in disrepair. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that that landscaping would also need to be removed.

The Final Product

Our Pool Removal team’s first step was to go in and carefully break up the pavers surrounding the pool, as well as the concrete within the pool. The brickwork surrounding the patio was also removed. In order to maintain the appeal of the backyard, the wooden patio was kept fully intact. We then hauled away all debris and recycled the bricks that were worth salvaging. Next, we back-filled the pool with topsoil and regraded the entire yard.

The final result of the project is a spacious, clean backyard that is suitable to the needs of the homeowners.

Upon completion of the project, the homeowners are very pleased with the results. They now have an open space that is theirs to design and that they are comfortable with. They can now choose to regrow the lawn or even create an outdoor entertaining area.
